Menu: View results->Result surface

This option uses a result component, or a scalar value, and draws a 3D surface above the mesh following the normals of this mesh. It can be seen as an extrusion of the mesh along its normals with the result as factor, like the beam diagrams but with surfaces.
Result surface is supported for results defined over nodes and over gauss points.
If the gauss points results can be globally smoothed, then a Smoothed sub-menu will be added with a list of the gaussian results, see View results menu
With this visualization, the line elements will be drawn using the result's values as thickness.
Go to Preferences --> Postprocess --> Result surface to set and manage result surface options, like the colours colors used, style which with they are drawn, etc. (seeĀ Result surface)
