GiD does not run on Scientific Linux 7.x, CentOS 7.x or RedHat 7.x

Since gid version 16.0.2 / 16.1.0 the linux version of GiD requires linux kernel version 4.15 or newer.
Examples of distributions with kernel version 4.15 or newer are Ubuntu 16, RedHat 8, CentOs 8 or Fedora 28.
