Queues & concurrent processes

Queues tab

Queues:
Queues are only allowed in UNIX systems that have this capability enabled. The queues must be previously set in the system by the system manager. The interface for the queues is the one provided by the commands qsub, qstat and qdel.
If queues are set, it is necessary to give the name of a queue that already exists on the system and that the server has enough priority to access. All the processes that are sent to the server, are redirected by it to the system queue.
If you change queues properties, press button OK to make them effective.

Concurrent processes:
It is possible to limit the number of processes that will execute at the same time in the server. For example, if this option is set to 3, the first two processes sent to the server will begin execution just when they arrive there. The third process will wait until one of the other two has finished. It is considered the group priority to select the next process to run.
Option Any means that there is no control in the number of processes that can execute at the same time.
If you change Concurrent process properties, press button OK to make them effective.
