Live example

Imagine this situation, you are a GiD Reseller with a customer

STEP 1 - Purchase

Reseller purchases some licences in the GiD Shop for his customer

The licences appear on the sections My Licences and My Purchases of the Licence Manager

STEP 2 - Transfer

Now you want to transfer one of the licences to your customer. With the ‘Transfer licence’ tool:

Important: Unmark ‘Notify by email to the new owner’ if you want to send the customer your own email, with your own template.

Now you can see that the licence transfer is pending of approval by your customer

You as a reseller will see:

Once the customer accepts the transfer

You as a reseller will see:

Your customer views:

Now, you as a reseller can not interact with the licence, but still can list it in “My purchased products” section, and see who is the new assigned.

Your customer can now get the password to activate GiD

STEP 3 - Get the password

The customer can get the password for GiD by filling the form

The parameters can be found in the GiD (Menu Help > Register GiD) that is going to be activated:

• Sysinfo

• Machine name

Copy the parameters in the form and Submit.

You will see the password that you must enter in the GiD password window above.
