Run cases

  • / Button to start running all cases

When pressing the play button the application will start running the current cases (all unfiltered cases) and the button will change to 'pause'.
The lower 'status bar' will show an advancing bar representing the progress, and the labels Ok: xx Fail: xx Untested: xx will show a count of the amount of cases that are ok, that failed, or that are already not tested.


Pressing pause no new cases will be started, but currently running ones will continue running.
Pressing play again it will continue running more cases.


The amount of simultaneous exes launched is limited by the max process global preference (Run)

  • Button to stop run cases.

Pressing this button running cases will be killed, and no new cases will be started.


Running a selection:
Clicking the 'right-mouse button' appear a contextual menu, from this menu is possible to click 'Run selection', then only the currently selected cases will be run.
When a case fails it is usually interesting to try to run it showing the GUI of GiD (usually cases are run without any GUI do to it faster), to do it select in the contextual menu 'Run selection with window'. In this case with timeout is not considered, to allow user interaction.
