STEP

Menu: Files->Import→STEP...

With this option it is possible to read a CAD file in STEP standard format (AP214 Automotive Application protocol)

There are two alternative implementations (can be selected in the import options of the file selection window)

Classic: based on the STEPcode library for the parsing

OpenCascade: based on Open CASCADE Technology (OCCT) library that not only do the parsing, also build a CAD geometry with OCCT data structure.

Current default is OpenCascade, because Classic code don’t solve properly assemblies
