Running the GiD client

PasServer must be running before running GiD in the client machines. See section Run on Windows

When passerver is running, a GiD executed in a client machine can dynamically get a password from this server
To set GiD to get a password from a server with IP number xx.xx.xx.xx, you must open the menu Help->Register GiD->Floating..., and set, instead a typical password, the server IP.

If the server is not installed in the default 7073 port, you musy set in the clients the IP and the port. The IP and port of the server must be entered in the client's window with this syntax: xx.xx.xx.xx:port. For example '174.46.94.467:1026'

When GiD client starts, a text is showed in the lower message bar, indicating if it's licenced from a remote passerver, or it's a unregistered version (then it works in academic mode with some limitations).
